While the above being the plan of acquisition in a phased manner, to start with Abadan will be acquiring Panamax Dry Bulk Vessel to operate as the present shipping scenario, especially the Panamax Segment presents a complete business prospect with a possibility of very high returns within a very short period of time. The Charter Rates of these size vessels are ruling comparatively better and raising up over the months. The vessel cost is still affordable in relation to charter rates compared to 2008-2015 levels – presenting a perfect picture for ship buying as the present charter rate vs vessel cost is exuberantly very healthy. Vessel cost being capital in nature and fixed at the time of buying, the increasing trend in the charter hire rate presents a very good profitable opportunity for this size ship purchase, as of now.
